The low-CG chassis uses performance-optimized suspension geometry and optimal weight distribution to deliver quick turn-in and precise handling dynamics. As a result, Jato 4X4 handles with the precision of a race buggy and the durability of the Traxxas’ toughest off-road trucks.
Track-Ready Handling
Jato 4X4 sits low and wide, concentrating its weight below the driveshafts for exceptional handling and perfect weight distribution. Extra-long GTR shocks in the front and rear maximize traction by keeping Jato 4X4’s new Sledgehammer buggy tires in constant contact with the ground. Add the optional sway bar kit (sold separately) for ultra-flat cornering and game-changing on-track performance.
BL-2s Brushless System
The BL-2s brushless power system ramps up the fun with up to 60% more speed and faster acceleration than comparable brushed power systems. Improved efficiency, high-speed ball bearings, and an internal cooling fan allow Jato 4X4 to run battery after battery for all-day fun. With no brushes to wear out, the BL-2s 3300 Kv is long-lasting and requires virtually no maintenance.

Factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade components give Jato 4X4 the superior strength and durability normally associated with Traxxas’ toughest off-road trucks. An ultra-rigid T-Bar reinforces the chassis with Extreme HD shock towers to support the suspension. Huge Maxx-Duty driveshafts transfer every ounce of the motor’s torque to the wheels with unsurpassed strength.
Clipless Buggy Body
Jato 4X4’s form-fitted clipless body cuts through the wind and eliminates the parachuting effect for stable performance at speed. Tough clipless side latches hold the body securely in place but release in just seconds for fast battery swaps. Jato 4X4 incorporates the high-downforce wing from Sledge® to keep its chassis planted with rugged rollover protection as an added benefit.
